The journey of motherhood is not a straight path. It is filled with endless ups and downs, rough patches, and milestones. All parents face difficulties with their children at different stages. Some new parents don't get a wink of sleep during the first few months after the birth of their child; others find that their child sleeps easily through the night. Some find that their cranky infant calms down during what was supposed to be "the terrible twos." Many moms and dads dread the pre-teen and teenage years, fearing that their children will become rebellious, angsty, and sassy, only to find that they have raised a level-headed young adult. 

The journey of motherhood and fatherhood does not end after the 18th year, however. Even adults can make mistakes, and the first people they turn to for help are their parents. Through all of the trials and tribulations, moms and dads will always be there for support and unconditional love.
